Abstract

This report summarizes the processing sweet corn cultivar trials coordinated by Centralia College in 1992. This report provides information of standard (su.) yellow, as well as yellow, bicolour and white supersweet (sh.) processing sweet corn cultivars. There were two planting dates for each of the four different com types and a third planting date was done to determine the disease susceptibility of the cultivars. The trials were all located at Dougall Farms just north of Exeter, Ontario in the 2900 CHU area. The objective of the cultivar trials is to improve the productivity of processing sweet corn cultivars without sacrificing any loss in quality of the processed product.
