Abstract
The purpose of the National Soil Conservation Program (NSCP) Soil Survey component was to promote a standard compilation of information on the quality, extent and location of agricultural lands in Ontario to provide standard reference data for policy, planning and extension initiatives. The soil survey upgrade sub-program was given a budget of $200,000 over the three year duration of the program. This report presents a short summary of the activities carried out under this subprogram. The first section outlines the work done to develop a clear coordinated program and subsequent sections provide a precis of the statements of work along with an executive summary of the project activities and conclusions.
