Title: Plum varieties with deficiencies in the plant hormone gibberellin may make good dwarf rootstocks
Author: El-Sharkawy, I.; El Kayal, W.; Prasath, D.; Institute for Community Engaged Scholarship
Abstract: Dwarf rootstocks and genetically modified A. thaliana plants containing the GA2Ox gene displayed dwarf-like characteristics such as slow growth, delayed ripening, and smaller fruit. External treatment with GAs during critical growth periods can counteract the negative effects of dwarf rootstocks on flower and fruit development.
